NYON, Switzerland (AP) — UEFA said Sunday that the game between Argentina and Spain known as Finalissima that was supposed to be held in Qatar has been canceled after the widening Middle East war. The game between South American champion Argentina and European champion Spain was scheduled to be held in Doha on March 27.

The Argentinian FA has refused UEFA's plans to relocate the Finalissima from Qatar to Madrid.

UEFA still plans to hold the Argentina-Spain soccer match this month in Doha, despite Iranian missile strikes in Qatar, officials said Thursday.

The Qatar Football Festival 2026, scheduled for 26–31 March, has been cancelled due to ongoing airspace disruption and international travel restrictions. The Local Organising Committee said the decision was
