The Utica Zoo’s newest residents stepped out to greet guests — and drew some curious looks from their animal neighbors — on Tuesday, January 6. 🦬❄️ Two female domestic yaks, Senali and Shehariah, were recently added to the zoo’s Asian Realm exhibit and wasted no time showing off their winter-ready coats. Native to cold, high-altitude environments, yaks are most active this time of year, making winter the perfect season to spot them in their element. Safe to say, they’re settling in just fine. #
